Mirrors may not yet contain a very recent release, and will show a “404 Not found” until they do.The most recent information can be reviewed in the running list.In MS Windows®, the easiest way to ensure integrity (as well as to create the live USB) is to use the USB formatting utility Rufus, which automatically runs a check. Consult the Wiki for other options, including signatures. ![]() NOTE: the Snapshots use sha512 instead so change the command accordingly. sha256: open a terminal and type: sha256sum, then compare with the number above.md5: right-click the downloaded md5 file > Check data integrity. To check the integrity of the downloaded ISO in Linux, click to download the md5 or sha256 file into the same folder where the ISO is, and use the appropriate action below: Mx23.1_rpi.img (packaged in mx23.2_rpi_respin_arm64.zip with sha256 checksum and signature file included in the zip.) “4” = the ISO for 64 bit advanced hardware systems (圆4) KDE.“3” = the ISO for 64 bit advanced hardware systems (圆4) XFCE/Fluxbox.“2” = the ISO for 64 bit standard systems (圆4) XFCE/Fluxbox.“1” = the ISO for 32 bit older systems (386) XFCE/Fluxbox. ![]() The ISOs to download are the biggest in size, and you will want to select according to architecture and version by clicking the link to begin the download. Not only does it not include UEFI Boot support, it also does not support GPT partitioned disks.Īs I have mentioned several times over the past few articles about UEFI and GPT, this can be particularly treacherous, because it will not complain, it looks like it is going to work - but unless you are very lucky, and have a very simple disk layout, there is a good chance that it will get confused and destroy one or more existing partitions on your disk. This is a map of the mirrors of MX Linux ISOs that are known to us. I have to make one very significant point about this distribution, however. ![]() The latest KDE, and it is a beauty.ĭigiKam 3.1.0: I am a fanatic about digiKam, and this is the first distribution I have seen with 3.1, so I am very pleased about this. KDE 4.10.1: This is one of the biggest advantages to this distribution. It took less than five minutes of struggling with it before I was ready to launch it out the window. The former turns out not to be so bad, because I can't use PCLOS on that system anyway (see below), but the latter is a killer I had forgotten how totally awful the blasted ClickPad is without the correct driver. Two things that jumped out at me: There is no driver for the Raling 3290 wi-fi adapter, and the ClickPad is not properly supported. Linux kernel 3.2.18: This is probably the single largest drawback to this distribution, because there have been a lot of drivers added and improved in later versions of the kernel.
